David Standridge

David Standridge has been a lawyer for over 27 years, practicing law exclusively. He has written professional articles and testified before Congress, in addition to being the founding partner of Standridge Law Firm P.C.

He served as Chairman of the House Rural Caucus in 2014. Married to his high school sweetheart, Danna, he and his family reside in Hayden.

Early Life and Education

David Standridge was raised on a farm in Blount County and graduated from Hayden High School. After serving as law enforcement officer for several years, he was elected Probate Judge and Chairman of the Blount County Commission.

As an attorney, he has testified before Congress, written articles and published opinion letters on legal topics, represented professional athletes and handled corporate legal affairs for national corporations. As founder of Standridge Law Firm P.C., a successful business that has become an expert in marketing and platform technology, his expertise has been recognized by peers around the country.

He has since ventured into the veterans disability legal field, overseeing both platform and marketing aspects for Vet Defender. Additionally, he serves as board member of Friends of Karen, a nonprofit providing emotional, financial and advocacy support to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

David Standridge is an attorney with extensive expertise in various areas of law. He has been practicing law since 1996 and founded the Standridge Law Firm.

In addition to practicing law, he has launched numerous business ventures that leverage his unique marketing abilities and understanding of business systems and platforms. Together with his wife Debbie, he owns and operates a successful real estate investment firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He serves as CEO of Naretev Health, a healthcare company providing medical opinions to veterans and their families. David Standridge has achieved great success during his career, earning several accolades along the way. Most recently, he was re-elected to serve as chairman of Alabama House of Representatives’ Rural Caucus–a bipartisan group of 40 state lawmakers–for another term.

He also won an award for the best wine program at his restaurant, The Shipwright’s Daughter in Mystic.

The Shipwright’s Daughter earned the top award in Wine Spectator’s 2022 Restaurant Awards with their impressive 150-bottle list – one of the largest offerings in the state. Kathleen Standridge, beverage director at the establishment, created an exquisite wine list to complement executive chef David Standridge’s coastal cuisine. Though his team may have created it himself, being recognized by one of the industry’s premier publications is truly humbling. It’s an honor for them all to be recognized by such an esteemed publication as Wine Spectator is truly remarkable!

Personal Life

David Standridge was raised in Appalachia, with berry foraging and fresh water fishing as part of his daily life. From an early age he knew he wanted to work in rural medicine; thus, he completed both medical school and residency at North Carolina’s mountains to fulfill that ambition.

Over his career, Standridge has worked in obstetrics and running a mobile medical clinic for local migrant agricultural workers. He is passionate about family physicians’ role in our healthcare system and enjoys teaching the next generation of doctors.

Standridge loves spending his free time hiking, running or water sailing with his wife Dana. They also take pleasure in spending time with their four children. Furthermore, the family is actively involved in their church community of Hayden, Georgia.
