Lilac Shar-Pei

Due to a combination between blue and chocolate genes, Lilac Shar-Pei coats can be unique. This combination makes a beautiful, sweet dog with a delicate temperament. Lilac shar-pei have a distinctive blue gene that diluted the fawn color and created a lilac shade of color. Although the Shar-Pei with lilac color have no dark points, they have pinkish eyes and self-colored nails.

Lilac Shar-Pei coats look beautiful and are protective of their owners. This color is also extremely rare and requires early pecking order establishment. These pets are very demanding of their owners and require gentle authority figures. These dogs require lots of exercise and a fenced backyard. Unlike the apricot dilute Shar-Pei, lilac-dilute Shar-Peis are not solid-colored. They have an apricot-colored, pinkish-colored coat around their faces. Other colors that have apricot-colored coat are cream-colored or pinkish. A chocolate-dilute Shari-Pei is available if you prefer a black-colored Shari-Pei.
