The 2018 Los Angeles Rams Roster

The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in Los Angeles, California. They compete in the National Football League, National Conference West division. The current roster includes Todd Gurley and Robert Woods. Continue reading to learn more about each player and their roles on the 2018 Los Angeles Rams roster. We’ll take a look at their recent performances and which players could potentially be the next breakout stars.

Cooper Kupp

Cooper Kupp’s place in the starting receiver group is one of the most pressing questions on the Los Angeles NFL roster. The fast wide receiver played four seasons for Eastern Washington where he was a target for Jared Goff. Kupp is a 6-2, 208-pounder with excellent route running skills. Kupp had almost a touchdown per game last year and has a great support cast.

The Rams have a fascinating starting trio, which includes Cooks and Woods. Their starting trio includes Everett, Kupp and Mundt. If the Rams can develop these three players, they could be among the best in the league. Kupp will be a solid addition to the Rams’ starting line-up, unless they get a superstar agent. However, he needs to get better at running the offense.

Robert Woods

If you are wondering if wide receiver Robert Woods is on the 2018 Los Angeles-Rams roster, you’re not alone. The Los Angeles market is hungry for a winner, and the Rams are poised to do just that. The veteran wide receiver has played in the NFL for a decade and is a familiar face around town. If he continues to play like this, he could end up being the best player on the roster.

Woods was injured on the day prior to the Rams’ trip in San Francisco. The Rams have since signed Beckham Jr., a former Browns wide receiver, to fill in Woods’ spot. Woods and Beckham may operate in different ways but they both have impressive numbers. Woods is also impressed with the group of wide receivers on the Rams. Beckham is still a superior player overall, but the Rams have made other moves in order to keep their top players healthy.

Van Jefferson

Jeffery Van Jefferson is a wide receiver who is in his fourth season at the University of Florida. He wants to make his own niche in this league. The Rams currently have a solid wide receiver core, with Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, and Josh Reynolds combining for 16 years of experience. Adding Jefferson to the roster will provide the Rams with additional depth on the offensive side of the ball, something that head coach Sean McVay enjoys. Jefferson met Eric Yarber, WR coach, at the NFL Combine.

The Rams’ wide receivers feature three players with more than 500 yards: Cooks (71 catches), Woods (53 catches), and Van Jefferson. Kupp was the most productive receiver in 2018, with 74 receptions, and ten touchdowns. But while Cooks and Woods are the Rams’ top three wide receivers, Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek, and JJ Koski are on the team’s practice squad as backups.

Todd Gurley

Is Todd Gurley on the 2018 Los Angeles Ram’s roster? The Rams first-round pick in 2015 racked up impressive numbers in his first two seasons with the team. He ran for 5,404 yards and 58 touchdowns, while making three Pro Bowl appearances. Is his contract extension a good fit for him? Let’s take a closer look. Is Gurley a potential contributor to the NFL’s success?

There are a lot of reasons to put Gurley on the 2018 Los Angeles Rams’ roster. He was a first-team All-Pro last season, and he was a part of the Rams’ Super Bowl team. But he was limited during the regular season after suffering from a knee injury. The Rams used him only a few times in Super Bowl, when he was rushed for three points against New England Patriots. To help Gurley keep his workload down, the Rams signed Lance Dunbar and drafted John Kelly.

Robert Talib

It is a great move to add two Pro Bowl cornerbacks to a team already full of talent. Talib, 32, is on the Rams’ roster after he starred for the Broncos. The Rams’ defensive scheme was successful enough to send Talib to the Pro Bowl and make the 2015 Super Bowl. Talib, who was a first-team All Pro last season, is now on the Rams’ roster.

The Rams’ roster for this year includes Jared Goff and Todd Gurley, Brandt Cooks and Aqib Talib. They have also added Michael Brockers and Aqib Taklib. Despite the addition of Aqib Talib, the defense still needs work, as the Rams opted to release quarterback Sam Bradford and trade for safety Robert Quinn.

E. J. Gaines

A new season brings new players, and the Rams have made a few interesting additions to their roster. Sammy Watkins is gone, which could have a major impact on the Rams. E.J. Gaines and a second-round draft pick were exchanged. Gaines, the Rams acquired the wide receiver. Watkins had 39 receptions, totalling 593 yards and eight touchdowns. To acquire Watkins, the Rams traded a draft pick.

The Rams signed RB C. J. Anderson just five days earlier. Todd Gurley was declared inactive just 90 minutes before the game. Anderson ran for 167 yards on 20 carries, and scored a touchdown during the second quarter. Los Angeles improved to 7-1 and won the fourth consecutive game over the Cardinals. Jared Goff threw for 216 yards and three touchdowns, and Aaron Donald had his best game as a professional. In addition, John Johnson and Troy Hill each had two interceptions.

Robert Rochell

Robert Rochell, a fourth-round selection from Central Arkansas, is here. Although there are other high school cornerbacks on Rams’ roster, Rochell was very intriguing. In his one season at high school, he ran a 4.37 forty yard dash and was offered only one scholarship. But this doesn’t mean he didn’t work out. He signed with a college of mid-majority and is now playing in NFL.

Robert Rochell was signed by the Rams last week. However, Buddy Howell and Cam Akers have been activated from the Reserve/Injured lists. Additionally, the Rams waived safety Ernest Jones and cornerback David Sargent, two rookies from the 2020 class. Both Jones and Rochell were undrafted prior to their rookie contracts. Ernest Jones went on to sign with the Houston Texans and then made his NFL debut with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a college player who recorded 50 tackles and had 4.5 sacks during 45 games.

Dont’e Deayon

Dont’e Deayon signed Tuesday to the active roster. He spent his first two years on the practice team. He had little opportunity to play against quarterback Jared Goff. However, he’s now back on the Rams roster after being waived in October. The Rams have a number of other holes at cornerback, including a number of veterans.

Although the Rams have a short injury list, they still have questions about running back position. While Darrell Henderson is likely to be on the roster, there are still a few unknowns. Leonard Floyd just came out of concussion protocol. Another question mark is the health of Dont’e Deayon, who is dealing with a thigh injury. Ben Skowronek has a back injury. Darious Williams is suffering from an ankle injury.

David Long

The Los Angeles Rams have activated Marquise and Jake Gervase from the Reserve/COVID-19 lists. Copeland was previously signed by the Chicago Bears and played 11 defensive snaps for the team this season. Gervase signed with Rams in January. He also played on special teams last season. The Rams signed safety Kyle Williams as well as tight end Kevin Zeitler.

Long was drafted by the Rams in the third round. He was 79th overall. Long played sparingly as a freshman but finished the season with 38 tackles, three interceptions, and 17 pass deflections. In addition, he was rarely targeted by the opponent. However, in 2017 and 2018, Long was targeted 60 times, allowing 18 receptions for 130 yards and one touchdown.

Darious Williams

In case you’re wondering if Darious Williams is on the 2018 Los Angeles NFL roster, he’s a cornerback who spent the entire 2017 season with the Ravens. To make room for Jimmy Smith the Ravens released Williams and the Rams claimed him as a waiver claim on October 8th. He was not a regular player in his first season but has had an impact on the secondary. He played in two preseason games and shared a joint practice with the Rams. Additionally, Williams worked out alongside Aqib Talib, who also mentors him.

Williams will be back this weekend, having suffered an ankle injury in Week 5’s loss to the Seahawks. In the meantime, Antoine Brooks and Darious Williams were activated from the practice squad to make up the numbers. The team could also bolster the bottom half of their wide receiver group by signing a free agent or elevating a practice squad member. The Rams don’t lack corners.
